How many face cloths do I need?

A recommendation for the basic set:

• Per person: 4 to 6 face cloths in stock - so there is always a fresh one to hand
• For higher hygiene requirements: more (acne, sensitive skin, baby care)
• For guests: 2 to 4 face cloths in a subtle colour
• For travelling: 1 to 2 face cloths per traveller

Because face cloths are used directly on the skin, changing and washing them regularly is particularly important. Ideally you use a fresh cloth every day and wash it regularly at 60 °C.

• wash regularly at 60 °C - higher temperatures ensure hygienic cleanliness
• use a colour detergent without optical brighteners
• no fabric softener - it considerably reduces absorbency
• tumble dry on a medium setting - this makes the loops especially fluffy
• allow to dry well between washes - damp cloths encourage bacteria

With good care, high-quality face cloths last for many years. We recommend keeping several in stock and rotating them regularly - this way you always have a fresh one to hand and the wear is spread out.
