Made-to-measure – how the ordering process works

Christian Fischbacher rugs are handcrafted exclusively to customer order. That means: each rug is only made once the order has been placed – with the dimensions, shape, quality and colour you have chosen. The delivery time is 10 to 12 weeks. Due to the bespoke production, Fischbacher rugs are excluded from exchange if you are not satisfied – we therefore strongly recommend obtaining material samples before ordering.

An important aid in the planning process is the sample box. You can order a selection of your desired colours in the original by post in advance and check at your leisure, in your own room, how the colours look in your daylight and with your furniture. Particularly with the extensive colour palettes – such as the 128 shades of the Merino Treasures – this is a decisive step towards the right choice. Simply get in touch and we will take care of sending the samples.

Felt backing and lettering

All Christian Fischbacher rugs have, on the reverse, a felt backing laminated to them. Here you have the choice between dark grey and beige, depending on what better suits the respective floor covering. In addition, the Fischbacher lettering is applied as a non-slip element – a detail that keeps the rug reliably in position even on smooth floors.

Merino Treasures are hand-tufted from the finest New Zealand merino wool – one of the highest-quality wool grades there is. The rugs are temperature-regulating, store warmth and are breathable at the same time – ideal all year round. With 128 colours Merino Treasures offers the largest colour palette among the Fischbacher qualities.

Mix

The Mix series combines cuddly-soft merino wool with fine silk in different yarn thicknesses and pile heights. This creates rugs with special depth and character – sometimes matt, sometimes with a subtle shimmer of the silk fibres. An expressive choice for rooms in which a rug is more than just a floor covering.

Natural Wovens

Natural Wovens consist of a casual material mix of linen, viscose, cotton, polyester and rayon. This is spun into a slightly mottled, softly shimmering effect yarn and processed with a modern weaving technique so that the result looks tufted. The lightly structured surface gives the quality its unmistakable Vintage Look – ideal for living spaces that are meant to have a lively, relaxed character. Available in 36 colours.

Silk Secrets

Silk Secrets is the premier class among the Christian Fischbacher rugs.
