• first wash for Mako satin at 60 degrees because of the manufacturing shrinkage (about 7 per cent), thereafter 40 degrees
• jersey is generally also washable at 60 degrees
• use colour detergent or liquid detergent without optical brighteners
• no fabric softener – it reduces breathability and impairs absorbency
• no chlorine bleach
• wash inside out, this protects the print and the weave
• iron Mako satin slightly damp for the optimal sheen
