The Bella Donna Jersey is made of 97% extra long-fibre cotton twine, which is super-combed and gassed , as well as 3% elastane. A perfect fit – even after the wildest night

Forever wrinkle-free – no matter how wildly you sleep. All Bella Donna fitted sheets still sit perfectly the next morning. And that without ironing. Responsible for this is the wonderful combination of elasticity and recovery power. The very high-quality jersey knit and the small proportion of elastane make a particularly good team.

To put it visually: you can pull the sheet out really firmly so that it glides nicely over the corners and under the mattress. Once it is in place, it hugs the mattress closely and throws no wrinkles – after being stretched, the fabric draws itself back together on its own. Not least, the strong all-round elastic ensures that the sides of the fitted sheet stay exactly where they belong: under the mattress.

Tip for the first wash

Please be sure to wash the sheet before first use. This is more hygienic – and above all: the perfect fit only comes about through the one-off shrinkage typical of knitted textiles, the shrinking-in . This shrinkage is precisely factored into the cut by Formesse. After the first wash, the sheet therefore sits exactly as it should.

Bella Donna Jersey sits perfectly and wrinkle-free on all types of bed – whether a classic bed, boxspring bed, futon mattress or waterbed. So that the right solution is ready for every mattress height, Bella Donna comes in three wall heights:

• Standard sheets: fit mattresses up to a height of 30 cm
• La Piccola sheets: the special solution for toppers up to 12 cm high
• Alto sheets: for particularly high mattresses up to 45 cm, such as boxspring beds

Combination sizes – one size for several mattresses

Bella Donna works with combination sizes. So one fitted-sheet size fits several mattress dimensions – a practical side effect of the great elasticity. For example, the Bella Donna Jersey size 13 fits mattresses with:

• a width of 140 to 160 cm
• a length of 190 to 220 cm
• a height of up to 30 cm

Tip: For the perfect fit, not all three dimensions – length, width and height – should be pushed to the maximum at the same time. In this example that would be 160 x 220 x 30 cm. If your mattress fully reaches these limit values, we recommend the next size up or the Alto version. We are happy to help with this slightly tricky question – with the mattress measurements and the approximate firmness grade, we will find the right sheet.

The finest ingredients – so much goodness inside

Not all cotton is the same

The fine twine for your bed: from super-combed, long-staple cotton particularly even and fine yarns are produced. When two of these threads are twisted together, the particularly tear-resistant, hard-wearing twine is created. Through the gassing – in which protruding fine hairs are removed with a flame – the twine becomes even more uniform, and even the last protruding fibre ends disappear.

Precisely such protruding fibre ends readily form little knots, so-called pilling, when a fabric is used. With the Bella Donna this does not happen. No pilling thanks to the finest twine – even after a hundred washes.

Wonderful, intense colours

Thanks to its even, close-meshed knit, Bella Donna Jersey has a very uniform surface. This makes the colours appear particularly even and intense. The elaborate dyeing process using the latest technologies and the addition of aloe vera and argan oil also give the cloth intense colours with a subtle sheen. Opaque, especially soft and pleasingly heavy

This is what majestic sleep feels like: for the Bella Donna Jersey, Formesse works a great deal of cotton twine into a very dense, fine fitted sheet. This makes it not only opaque but also particularly hard-wearing and durable. Through the fine knit and the addition of aloe vera and argan oil, the sheet gains its special softness and fine feel. You can feel the difference immediately.

Fitting made easy – the clever corner

With larger bed sheets from a width of 160 cm in particular, the question often arises: which is the long side and which the narrower one? Every Bella Donna Jersey comes with a label showing the size and care symbols – this is the clever corner. You pull the corner with the label over the top right or bottom left corner of the mattress. That way the sheet sits perfectly on the first attempt – no futile turning, no searching for the right side.

Made in Germany – from Löffingen in the Black Forest

Formesse sources yarns and twines under the highest quality standards from selected suppliers in Germany. In Germany the yarns are knitted into the jersey fabrics, dyed and finished. About 92% of the products are made up within a 90 km radius of the site in Löffingen . A small but fine share (around 8%) is produced in a family business in Poland – here too to the same high quality standards.

Naturally, all products are tested for harmful substances by OEKO-TEX Service GmbH. Certified to OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100, 97.0.7666, Institut Hohenstein.

Since 2019, Formesse has examined afresh each year how and in which partnership it can most effectively contribute to climate protection and greenhouse-gas reduction.
