Welcome to the Rhomtuft brand shop at Interior Couture. Rhomtuft stands for bath mats, bath rugs, towels and bathrobes from one of Germany's most traditional textile families. Everything is made in the company's own manufactory in Emmerthal near Hameln – according to the company, Rhomtuft is today the only manufacturer producing bath mats in Germany.
We deliver free of shipping charges from an order value of 50 euros within Germany. International shipping is free from 200 euros. Deliveries to Switzerland and other non-EU countries are, of course, made with a VAT-exempt invoice.
Five generations of home textiles
The story begins in 1873, when Wilhelm Golze started making home textiles in Landsberg an der Warthe. His son Otto and later Dr Egon Golze produced runners, doormats and bath mats in Hameln on the Weser. Today Stefan A. Golze runs the company in the fifth generation, with his daughter Gloria already part of the team. Rhomtuft combines this experience with modern production technology – and remains committed to making its products in Germany.

The Rhomtuft collections at a glance
Tufted cotton bath mats
The heart of the range are the dense, tufted Rhomtuft bath mats made of 100 % cotton with around 2,250 g/m². PRESTIGE is the classic with a woven-in border, PUR the plain version without a frame, EXQUISIT the oval and round shape. LIN adds a share of linen for a natural, slightly rustic look. The cotton bath mats have a loop side and a velour side.
Woven bath mats
Lighter and flatter are the woven bath mats made of 100 % cotton: GALA and PLAIN at around 1,800 g/m², SEASIDE and PEARL at around 1,600 g/m² and the light MAURO. They come in 50x70, 60x90 and 70x120 cm.
Polyacrylic bath mats and motifs
The polyacrylic bath mats with a velour surface and a non-slip back bring pattern into the bathroom – from graphic designs such as MÄANDER, CUBUS or STONE to cheerful motifs such as ANKER, STARFISH, ELK or CROC.
PRINCESS towels
The Rhomtuft PRINCESS towels are heavy terry made of 100 % cotton with around 650 g/m² and a border of mercerised cotton that does not shrink in the wash. They range from the wash cloth to the 95x180 cm bath sheet, plus a wash mitt.
SIR & LADY bathrobe
The Rhomtuft SIR & LADY bathrobe is a unisex bathrobe with a shawl collar, two patch pockets and a tie belt – fluffy terry made of 100 % cotton with around 450 g/m², in sizes S to XL.
Bath mat, towel and bathrobe in one colour
Rhomtuft's strength is its consistent colour system: PRESTIGE, PUR, EXQUISIT, the woven GALA, PLAIN and SEASIDE mats and the PRINCESS towels share the same 21 colours – from white, natural jasmine and stone to pearl grey, pebble and pewter and on to strong shades such as cardinal, cobalt, pine or gold. The SIR & LADY bathrobe comes in seven of these colours. So you can furnish your bathroom tone on tone – or combine two colours on purpose.
Caring for your Rhomtuft bath textiles
- Always follow the care label of each item
- Shake out or vacuum bath mats regularly
- Do not use aggressive or chlorine-based cleaners underneath the bath mat
- Wash terry before first use so that it develops its full absorbency
- Use fabric softener sparingly or not at all – it reduces absorbency
