Royfort Beds and Mattresses – the ATELIER Collection
Under the name ATELIER, Royfort offers box spring beds, pocket spring mattresses and toppers. The three bed models LINE, CURVE and EDITION are handmade and have a sleep system of two spring units with a latex layer. According to Royfort, the ATELIER mattresses No.1, No.2 and No.3 are made in a German manufactory and each comes in three firmness levels. Royfort ATELIER Box Spring Beds
All three Royfort beds are box spring beds: unlike a bed frame with slats, the sleeping surface rests on a sprung base. In the ATELIER beds, two spring units and a latex layer work together. The models differ mainly in the headboard:
ATELIER LINE – clean and linear
The Royfort bed ATELIER LINE has a headboard with a clean, continuous surface framed by two fine pipings. It suits minimalist and Scandinavian-style bedrooms. Colours: cream, graphite and mocha.
ATELIER CURVE – round and seamless
The Royfort bed ATELIER CURVE has a round, seamless upholstered headboard without decorative stitching or buttons. The soft shape looks calm and invites you to lean back and read. Colours: cream, graphite and mocha.
ATELIER EDITION – with a fabric accent
The Royfort bed ATELIER EDITION features a fine geometric pattern accent on the headboard, framed by handmade piping. It is the model with the most personal signature and is available in cream.
The ATELIER beds come in 140x200, 160x200, 180x200, 180x220, 200x200 and 200x220 cm.
Royfort ATELIER Mattresses No.1, No.2 and No.3
The three Royfort mattresses are pocket spring mattresses with different constructions:
ATELIER No.1 – double pocket springs with natural upholstery
The Royfort ATELIER mattress No.1 has an ErgoCore double pocket spring core with more than 1,000 individually responding springs. The upholstery combines camel hair, pure new wool and wild silk, the cover is a cashmere-viscose ticking. It offers a firm, orthopaedically oriented feel, is OEKO-TEX certified and, according to Royfort, handmade in a German manufactory.
ATELIER No.2 – reversible with latex foam
The Royfort ATELIER mattress No.2 has a CoreMotion pocket spring core with at least 800 springs and a comfort layer of CloudForm latex foam on both sides. It is reversible, pressure-relieving and has a clear, rather firm feel.
ATELIER No.3 – pinhole latex with alpaca and wool
The Royfort ATELIER mattress No.3 has a ComfortFlow pocket spring core with 500 springs, pinhole latex comfort layers on both sides and natural upholstery of alpaca and pure new wool. It is reversible and offers a balanced feel between support and cocooning comfort.
Which Firmness Level Is Right for Me?
All three Royfort ATELIER mattresses come in three firmness levels. Royfort assigns them by body weight:
- Firmness 1 – up to 70 kg
- Firmness 2 – 70 to 90 kg
- Firmness 3 – 90 to 110 kg
If you are on the border between two levels, your preferred sleeping position decides: side sleepers tend to choose the softer level, back and front sleepers the firmer one. The mattresses are available from 90x200 to 200x220 cm; other brands are among our mattresses.
Royfort Toppers – Natural Latex or Pure New Wool
A topper changes the feel of a bed without replacing the mattress. The Royfort topper NATURAL LATEX has a natural latex core and a lyocell jersey cover; it makes the bed noticeably softer and relieves shoulders and hips. The Royfort topper PURE NEW WOOL is filled with pure new wool and refines the surface only slightly, without changing the character of the mattress. More models: toppers.
The Right Bedding for Royfort Beds
Box spring beds are high – often over 30 cm with a topper. According to the manufacturer, Royfort fitted sheets in sateen, muslin and cashmere fit mattresses up to 35 cm deep and match Royfort bed linen in colour and material.

Which Royfort topper is right for me?
The NATURAL LATEX topper makes a mattress that is too firm noticeably softer and relieves pressure points. The PURE NEW WOOL topper refines the surface only slightly and keeps the character of the mattress.
