Royfort Duvets – Down, Eiderdown and Alpaca
A Royfort duvet is available at Interior Couture with three fillings: goose down, eiderdown and alpaca wool. Royfort Duvets at a Glance
Royfort down duvet – goose down with 725 cuin
The Royfort down duvet is filled with 100% white European goose down of class 1. According to the manufacturer, the fill power is 725 cuin – a value for very lofty down that holds plenty of warmth at a low weight. The cover is 50% cotton and 50% lyocell (TENCEL™). Royfort cites the NOMITE label (suitable for house-dust allergy sufferers) and DOWNPASS (no live plucking). Warmth levels: SUMMER, MEDIUM and WINTER. More brands: down duvets.
Royfort eiderdown duvet – Icelandic eiderdown
The Royfort eiderdown duvet is filled with 100% natural brown eiderdown from Iceland. Eiderdown is gathered by hand from the abandoned nests of wild eider ducks and is therefore only available in very small quantities worldwide. The cover in 50% TENCEL™ and 50% cotton has a thread count of 395 and is mite-proof to NOMITE; quilted squares keep the filling evenly distributed. Made in Denmark, in SUMMER, MEDIUM and WINTER. Read more about this rare filling on our eiderdown duvet page.
Royfort alpaca duvet – natural fibre without down
The Royfort alpaca duvet is filled with 100% alpaca wool and has a soft cotton sateen cover. Alpaca is light, temperature-balancing and moisture-regulating – an alternative for anyone who prefers not to use down. The duvet is handmade in Poland and available in MEDIUM (all-season) and WINTER.
Which Warmth Level Do I Need?
What matters is the bedroom temperature and whether you tend to sleep warm or cold:
- SUMMER – for warm nights, attic rooms and warm sleepers (down, eiderdown).
- MEDIUM – the all-season duvet for normally heated bedrooms (down, eiderdown, alpaca).
- WINTER – for cool bedrooms, frosty nights and anyone who feels the cold (down, eiderdown, alpaca).
If you want one duvet for the whole year, choose MEDIUM. If you change duvets in summer, combine a SUMMER and a WINTER duvet.
Royfort Duvet Sizes
Royfort duvets come in the German standard sizes 135x200 and 155x220 cm and as double duvets in 200x200, 200x220, 220x240 and 240x260 cm. For couples with different warmth needs, two single duvets in different warmth levels are recommended.
Caring for Royfort Duvets
Down, eiderdown and alpaca duvets mainly need air: shake and air them regularly, but keep them out of direct sunlight. Royfort recommends professional cleaning for eiderdown and alpaca; eiderdown duvets should not be washed at home. A duvet cover protects the casing and is changed regularly – for example matching Royfort bed linen.

Frequently Asked Questions about Royfort Duvets
Which fillings do Royfort duvets have?
Royfort duvets are available with 100% white European goose down, with 100% natural brown eiderdown from Iceland and with 100% alpaca wool.
What does 725 cuin mean for the Royfort down duvet?
Cuin (cubic inches) indicates fill power – how much one ounce of down lofts. 725 cuin stands for very high-quality down that holds plenty of warmth with little fill weight.
Why is the Royfort eiderdown duvet so expensive?
Eiderdown is gathered by hand from the abandoned nests of wild eider ducks in Iceland. Each nest yields only a few grams, so eiderdown is extremely scarce worldwide. It is considered exceptionally light, cosy and warm.
Which Royfort duvet is suitable for allergy sufferers?
The Royfort down and eiderdown duvets have a NOMITE-certified, mite-proof cover suitable for house-dust allergy sufferers. If you prefer to avoid down, choose the Royfort alpaca duvet.
Where are Royfort duvets made?
According to Royfort, the down and eiderdown duvets are made in Denmark and the alpaca duvets in Poland.
Which sizes are available?
Royfort duvets come in 135x200, 155x220, 200x200, 200x220, 220x240 and – depending on the model – 240x260 cm.
