Care of Seidenweber fitted sheets

To enjoy your fitted sheet for as long as possible, it is important to follow the care instructions carefully. With the right handling, a fitted sheet can accompany you for several decades and can even be passed on to the next generation.

How do I care for my fitted sheet correctly?

Wash your silk fitted sheet at 30°C with a relatively low spin speed. A high spin speed can place too much strain on the fabric and, in the worst case, cause damage. Please never spray silk fitted sheets with perfume or deodorant, or wash them with bleach. Do not attempt to remove individual stains with water alone — wash the entire sheet instead. Do not wring the fabric.

Please note that silk and silk blends are not suitable for tumble dryers or mangles. When drying outdoors, silk fitted sheets should not be exposed to direct sunlight.

For coloured fitted sheets, please ensure you choose a detergent that does not contain optical brighteners.

Seidenweber fitted sheets can be ironed slightly damp at a maximum of 110°C. Please always iron fitted sheets on the reverse side, without using additional water for dampening.

Fitted sheet sizes

Seidenweber fitted sheets are only suitable for box spring beds or maxi mattresses with a mattress height of up to 33 cm. As silk is not stretchy, it is important to select the correct size to ensure a perfect fit.
