Caring for your blanket

• always observe the care label – the requirements vary depending on the material and manufacturer
• wool, cashmere and alpaca usually only hand washing or a wool wash programme at 30 °C
• use a special wool detergent – not a normal detergent
• no fabric softener for wool and cashmere – it damages the fibre structure
• dry flat, not in the tumble dryer – otherwise wool and cashmere felt or shrink
• cotton blankets are generally easier to care for and washable at 30-40 °C
• air regularly – fresh air keeps the fibres fresh
• protect from direct sunlight when storing
• do not store in plastic, but in a breathable way
